India’s Leading Spatial Technologies Publication

 
Thank you for your interest in contributing to Geospatial Today, India's leading magazine dedicated to the understanding and application of spatial technology worldwide. Geospatial Today is a monthly publication that strives to inform our readers of applications and technology advancements in the spatial technology field. Geospatial Today is looking for strong, well-researched, literate writing on significant spatial technology applications and issues.

The spatial technologies covered in Geospatial Today include GIS, GPS (global positioning systems), remote sensing, surveying, aerial photography, photogrammetry and more. The publication reports on industry associations; conferences and seminars; new products; company news and spatial technology used worldwide.

We welcome submission of a variety of materials, but these guidelines are primarily for articles.

 
Instructions
  •  
  • Major articles must not exceed 3500 words for minor article, and for case studies the word limit is 2000. For book reviews the word limit is 600.
  •  
  • Concise summary of the article/case study, not exceeding 200 words, should be included.
  •  
  • Articles may cover a variety of topics related to Geospatial technologies. They should explain clearly what was done, what for, significance of the problem, how an issue is addressed to or how a problem is resolved and should be logical in the sense why GIS is chosen to solve the problem.
  •  
  • Authors are requested to take note that we welcome scientific papers that effectively demonstrate the results, and not stress on the software that are used in achieving those results.
  •  
  • All technical papers, case studies should provide proper references. Author should give in writing stating that the work is new and has not been published in any form so far.
  •  
  • Both hard copy and soft copy of the manuscripts typed in standard printable font should only be submitted.
  •  
  • Relevant figures of adequate quality (300dpi) should be submitted in JPEG / TIFF format in addition to hard copy.
  •  
  • A brief bio-data and passport size photograph(s) of the author(s) must be enclosed with the article.
  •  
  • Reviews sent through e-mail, should give with details like copies of all correspondence with individual vendors.
  •  
  • Book reviews should include details of the title of the book, name of authors(s), publisher, year of publication, price, number of pages etc.
  •  
  • ALL CONTRIBUTIONS ARE SUBJECT TO APPROVAL BY THE PUBLISHER.

     

    Most authors of features and columns are not paid, but their names are published in a byline. An author's professional affiliation is noted in a small biography at the end of the article. A brief biography and photograph must accompany each manuscript.
